What's playing in the media room - October 10th 2010

Happy Binary Day!  10/10/10
It's the long weekend here and you would think I've been able to make a dent in the ever building back catalog of shows. Not really, spent about 5 hours cleaning the cars yesterday and enjoyed some sun. The piece of the paper that contains the list in my media room has scribbles, notes but it doesn't have many things scratched off. There isn't enough hours in a day to keep up with this stuff. Thankfully Network television is making it easier; as almost every new show that's come this season is on death watch. Every week for almost every new show, the ratings just get worse and worse. I really do think Network television has created this problem.

In looking at the ratings for last night, I was blown away with how many people watch Cops and America's Most Wanted. In fact, so many I'm going to blog about it later this week as I was stunned.

Did anyone watch Jane Lynch on SNL last night? I pvr'd the West Coast feed and watched it this morning, she was ok, but geez that show is awful.

Let's look at tonight.

I really do think it's time the Simpsons to move on, it's been a good run. But you're not funny anymore and you haven't been for a while.

For the amount of stuff that's on network televison there is only one thing on for me: The Amazing Race. Everything else is on speciality channels. Rubicon, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Bored to Death, Eastbound and Down and of course Dexter.
