I finally had a chance to sit down and watch the premiere episode of Rob. I laughed a few times sure, but overall I thought it was pretty awful. I found the entire thing to be quite predictable and at times offensive. It was almost a mix of Three's Company and the George Lopez show. It really was quite a chore to make it through all 30 minutes.
It was good to see Rob Schneider back on tv, I really do miss those making copies skits. He was looking like he did on his days of SNL again and not like the hot mess he's been looking like for a while now. Which then the fact that Rob is playing a guy with some serious OCD issues, I just don't find that funny. Especially after many, many years of playing dirtbags.
It's been a rough week on comedies, we had the premiere of what I thought was a pretty bad Chelsea Handler comedy, Rob premiered and then Work It got cancelled. Rob will benefit from the highest rated comedy Big Bang Theory, but eventually the fans will get tired of jokes and situations that have already been done a million times before it.
