The Oscars - Live Blog - 10:00 PM Hour

10:04 - Seeing Zach there reminds me I haven't seen The Hangover in far too long.

10:10 - Time for the let's take ourselves very seriously for a moment.  Another going to the theatre moment.

10:11 - The musical part of the show.

10:12 - Let's welcome star of Vanillia Sky and star of Drillbit Taylor to bring the Best Score Award and it goes to The Artist.

10:16 - BEST Pairing of the night.  Will Ferrell and Zach Galifinakis here to present Best Original Song.  The Muppets takes the win.

10:24 - Former star of the hit film Hackers takes the stage to present Adapted Screenplay and it goes to the Descendants.  Do you think Angelina was saying, I work so hard so I look this good? Was that just me?  I wasn't blown away by The Descendants, it seems to be the movie that Hollywood loves.

10:28 - Double up night continues, Original Screenplay is up next.  The award goes to Woody Allen.

10:29 - Mental note, look up and see what Ed Norton is up to.  I feel like i haven't watched him in anything since The Hulk.

10:32 - That's very cool to see Pharrell playing drums at The Oscars.

10:36 - Why is William Shatner hosting the Junos?

10:37 - One of the stars of The Fifth Element shows us the awards that weren't exciting enough to make it to the telecast.

10:38 - The cast of Bridesmaids takes the stage and starts to rip it up and brings the first of their few awards.  Live Short film and it goes to The Shore.

10:41 - Next up Documentary Short Subject is the next and it goes to Saving Face.  Nice use of the Scorcese drinking game from the earlier Sag or Globe awards.

10:45 - Best Animated Short Film is up next and that one goes to Fantastic Flying Books.

10:50 - The star of Black Rain comes out to the stage and he's looking good and healthy.  Best Director is up next.  The Academy mixing things up this year and not doing Director and Film back to back.  The Oscar goes to The Artist.

10:55 -  The star of Kramer vs. Kramer takes the stage to show use The Governors Awards.

11:03 - Time to look at who we lost this year. 

11:13 - Former Child star of the movie The Professional Natalie Portman is here to bring the Best Actor Award.  The Oscar goes Jean Dujardin of The Artist.

11:24 - Colin Firth takes the stage to hand out the Best Actress Award.  The Oscar goes to Meryl Streep, a bit of an upset there.  Everyone was predicting that Viola Davis was going to take it.

11:33 - Star of Risky Business comes out for the final award of the night.  Watching a movie on the big screen and seeing them at the theatre, again gets a mention.  We get it.  Everyone, GET BACK TO THE MOVIE THEATRE. Let's get to the Best Picture Award, it goes to The Artist.

The Oscars - Live Blog - The 9:00 PM Hour

9:00 - Stars talking about their love of the movies, again I can't help but think that they're really asking us to go to the theatres more.

9:05 - Sandra Bullock one of the stars of Speed takes the stage. Best Foreign Language film is the next award.  A Separation from Iran takes it.

9:09 - Star of Equilibrium Christian Bale takes the stages for the Best Supporting Actress award.  Come on Bridesmaids, The Academy takes itself way too seriously for that to happen.  Octavia Spencer wins the award like many predicted.

9:18 - I would love to be in a focus group. 

9:21 - That crew doesn't do enough movies together.

9:22 - One of the stars of SNL and another star of the tv series Alias.  They're presenting the award for editing.

9:24 - The Oscar goes to Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

9:25 - Another double up, Sound Editing.  Hugo wins another. Lamest joke of the night.

9:27 - Wooooah, triple award give out.  Do they want this thing over by 11:00 or what? Sound Mixing is the next award.  Hugo wins yet another.

9:34 - The Muppets makes their big appearance, nice putting them in Waldorf and Statlers spot in the theatre.

9:36 - Another go to the movies bit.  I'm sensing a bit of theme here tonight. 

9:40 - The star of Se7en and Weird Science come to the stage to present Best Documentary Feature goes to Undefeated.

9:44 - Former host of The Oscars and cast member of SNL comes to the stage and talks about doing voice work.  The truth has been told.  Animated Feature is up and it goes to Rango.

9:52 - Why aren't you in a robe...LOL!! Line of the night.

9:53 - Star of Amazing Spider-Man and guest star of Kate and Allie bring us Visual Effects.  Hugo keeps its streak going.

9:58 - Star of tv mini series Midlred Pierce enters the stage to introduce Best Supporting Actor and it goes to Canadian Christopher Plummer.

The Oscars Live Blog - First 30 Minutes

So, it's 8:26 and we're all ready to go.  The snacks got picked up this morning, the glass has been filled.  Mrs Media Room and I have made our picks.  We've watched as many of the films as we had time to watch.  I even took a quick 3 hour nap this afternoon because chances are this bad boy isn't ending until almost midnight.

8:30 - Mr Narrator himself opens the show.  What's the deal with the one glove?

8:31 - Billy always has the best opening montages!  I find it so cool how they put those together.

8:36 - I'm reminded of Billy Crystal in Soap back in the 1970's for some reason, Billy has to be around 60 and is looking pretty good.  He's actually 63, had time to look it up during the singing bit.

8:42 - That guy from Bosom Buddies is the first presenter of the evening.  Hugo gets the first award for Cinematography.

8:44 - Double up the awards presentation for the star of the film The Burbs, Art Direction.  Hugo again. 

8:46 - Wow, those Bell commercials are awful and that Ashley Judd show looks ridiculous.

8:51 - A nice Anti-Piracy commercial reminding the criminals of the world just how much joy one could have by actually going to the theatre.

8:53 - Welcome the star of The Mask and a former Fly Girl from In Living Color bringing us Costume Design.  The night of The Artist begins.

8:56 - Double up awards again, flying right along.  Make Up is here and that goes to The Iron Lady.

Live Blog - The Grammy Edition - Part Three

10:05 - Gwyneth up to bring out Adele.

10:07 - Adele just makes it look so effortless up there. Fitting that Adele makes her big comeback the night the music industry celebrates the life of Whitney Houston. I really don't know how you couldn't say Adele has the greatest voice in music today.

10:15 - Taylor Swift comes out to kick off the Glenn Campbell tribute.

10:29 - Hard to believe there is only 30 minutes left on this.

10:29:30 - The Oscars in two weeks!!

10:29:35 - This Means War, wow, that looks awful.

10:31 - Carrie Underwood comes out, stunning. Mr. Tony Bennett comes out for a duet with Carrie. Another American Idol Superstar. Great for the show. Makes you wonder what happened to the other winners.

10:33 - Best New Artist is up. Bon Iver come on!! Holy crap!! Bon Iver WINS!! Now that's some Indie Cred right there! Get this album! One of my favorites from 2011.

10:36 - Some business talk. Booooring.

10:40 - The toughest part of the show. The people that passed away this year. We lost some greats this year.

10:43 - Here we go with the Whitney tribute. Speaking of American Idol superstars. Jennifer Hudson is singing and you could hear a pin drop on the Staples Center right now. Beautiful.

10:52 - Chris Brown trying to look like Run DMC.

10:55 - I gotta say, wearing a Slayer T-Shirt while wearing a sport jacket is a damn strange look.

10:57 - This Foo Fighter/DeadMaus performance is quite strange and I'm a fan. Scratch that, we've entered the Dub-Step phase of the show and I'm loving that. Mrs. Media Room is outta here with this. "NOT MY KIND OF MUSIC" she's saying. HAAHAHAA.

10:59 - I kept thinking this was ending at 11:00. Whoops. Not happening, scheduled until 11:30.

11:04 - And we're back. With Drake bringing out Nicki Minaj.

11:08 - What the hell is this? When did Minaj start taking herself so seriously?

11:10 - Lady Antebellum comes out to announce Record of the Year. How isn't this going to Adele? There we go. Adele gets another.

11:15 - It's going to be an especially late night. Tomorrow is going to be a Venti type morning for sure.

11:16 - What critics are calling Journey 2 awesome?

11:19 - Dianna Ross walks on the stage to give out the album of the year. Did someone just fart on mic? Lady Gaga's eyes must be bugging out after watching the show for 3.5 hours through that mask. Adele sweeps it.

11:21 - It would have been truly great if LL dropped some Momma Gonna Knock you Out tonight.

11:23 - Paul McCartney comes out to show the kids some really great music.

11:28 - For a 69 year old, McCartney can really move up there.

11:29 - There is some serious guitar firepower up there right now. Awesome.

Live Blog - The Grammy Edition - Part Two

9:00 - So Coldplay is the band in the background?

9:01 - Just as a I finish typing the above, Chris Martin makes an appearance. So it's not really a Rihanna/Coldplay performance.

9:01:30 - Nevermind.

9:02 - The thought hits me, I'm really a music snob. LOL.

9:04 - The first performance I can say I've enjoyed musically.

9:09 - OMG! I saw the full trailer for Project X last night and I was dying laughing. I can't wait for that one. Hopefully all the funny parts aren't just in the trailer. I'm pretty sure I said the same thing when I walked into The Hangover.

9:12 - Sunglasses inside, not a fan.

9:13 - Best Rock Performance. Come on Radiohead! Of course the Foo Fighters wins.

9:15 - Nice speech totally slamming the entire pop music industry.

9:16 - The busiest man in Hollywood. Mr. Ryan Seacrest.

9:18 - It would appear Moves Like Jagger can't sing a Beach Boy tune. I don't think he'd be going through on The Voice with this performance. Adam looked like he couldn't get out of there fast enough when introducing Foster the People. Wow, Mark Foster looks very very nervous up there.

9:21 - The Beach Boys show these young guys how it's done. The Beach Boys' album Pet Sounds is regarded by many people to be the second or third greatest albums ever released.

9:24 - Adam Levine is just oozing get me the hell outta here right now.

9:28 - For those wondering at home, I started with a Grape Jolly Rancher and now I`m have an Apple one.

9:31 - Stevie Wonder, plenty of standing o`s tonight.

9:32 - Sir Paul McCartney. This is musical talent kids.

9:37 - Best RandB album, Chris Brown.

9:39 - The Civil Wars on to singtroduce Taylor Swift. They did a nice quicky diddy. I`ll have to look into them. Might be a bit too country for me, we`ll have to see..

9:40 - Taylor Swift on what appears to be a lost set from Hee-Haw.

9:43 - Taylor certainly has gotten a lot more confident since the first time I saw her at the Grammys a few years back. I`m not a Country fan, but that was a cool performance.

9:51 - Song of the Year goes to Adele, so Doogie was laughing about the awful Grenade tune right?

9:52 - Thank you for having Kate Beckingsale at The Grammys. But why is she there?

Live Blog - The Grammy Edition - Part One

7:55 - The cola has been poured and the half a bag of movie theatre popcorn left-over from watching Safe House last night is ready to be finished. Safe House was some great entertainment and it felt very much like a Bourne Movie. I recommend that you check it out if you get a chance.

7:59 - I sit hear waiting for the show to start and in the last 24 hours the entire show has taken on a different meaning to me. I can`t say I was a fan of Whitney Houston but I can recoginize her talent and what she brought to the music industry. I`m entrigued to see what the producers have in store. I can`t say I watch the Grammys for the music because most of the performers I`m not a fan of. I`m a rock and indie guy, let`s see what happens. I just remember the cries of anger last year when Indie Superstars Arcade Fire won, people had no idea who they were.

8:01 - Bruce starts off the show, kicking it off big. Nice.

8:02 - We get a shot of what looks like young persons hands cheering in the front row. Can we get an interview with them to see who of them have actually heard of Bruce Springsteen? Please.

8:03 - "We Care of Our Own" to open a music award show? Interesting choice.

8:04 - I really need to look up when Bruce started because I'm pretty sure it was the early 80's and he's looking pretty good. Woah, Lady Gaga wearing what looks like the netting that my Pork Tenderloin comes in.

8:06 - A lovely Prayer for Whitney.

8:08 - The first standing ovation for Whitney, the first of many I'm guessing tonight.

8:10 - I love that Coldplay never dresses up for these things. Ok, so that was Nicki Minaj wearing the red tent to the show. Wow.

8:11 - Bruno Mars is the second performance of the night, I really don't understand this guys music. I've got a grenade for you, that's some great songwriting skills you've got there. He put on a good performance if I watched it on mute.

8:14 - While I'm watching this it reminds of something we saw last night. While waiting for the movie to start, we were looking at a movie poster advertising a classic movie series that's playing all year. Peck, Hepburn and Heston to name a few. I said to my wife, they don't make them like that anymore.

8:15 - I can't help but think the same thing when watching an artist like Bruno Mars perform.

8:20 - Time to grab a Jolly Rancher, I'm off Skittles and I'm hooked on the Rancher.

8:21 - Thanks for reminding us that's we're 20 minutes in and we still haven't given out an award.

8:21:30 - An Etta James tribute By Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt. Seems like an unusual pairing, but this is working and working quite well.

8:37 - Reba on I'm guessing to introduce a duo. Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson. I think it's great how successful Kelly Clarkson has become from American Idol.

8:46 - Jack Black, what have you been doing lately? Mental Note, look up to see what he's been doing. I won't say the Foo Fighters have any Indie cred Mr. Black.

8:49 - Is this a new song? Old Song? This is the issue I've got with the Foo Fighters, every song they release sounds the same to me. It is nice to get a Rock performance though, so I'm happy to see that.

8:50 - I loved the shot of the guy in a Nirvana shirt. One of the greatest bands ever.

Golden Globes 2012 - Live Blog - Third Hour

9:55 - Wow, Reese just looks better every Award Season and apparently doesn't know what to do with her hands.  She's showing us The Descendants.

9:56 - A living legend takes the stage, you couldn't get a better person to give Morgan Freeman a lifetime award. 

9:58 - Helen Mirren is one of the greatest dramatic film actresses every.  But she really isn't a comedian, that's for sure after seeing that.

10:02 - I don't think you'd get anything like that Electric Company clip on television today.  Just a guess.

9:08 - Supporting Actor in a tv series, one for the nerds! Peter Dinkladge for Game of Thrones. Normally gives a great speech, but tonight wasn't one of those nights.

9:11 - George Clooney, one of the coolest guys on the planet. Here's one I actually did watch this one.

9:13 - Jessica Alba, where did you go?  Can we get Sin City 2 already? Can you call someone to get that made already?

9:14 - Best Animated Feature - Tin Tin.

9:42 - And the trailer for Bridesmaids. That is some seriously funny schtuff there.

Golden Globes 2012 - Live Blog First Hour

So we're all on the couch after sharing some Indian food for dinner.  We're enjoying some coffees while we're all critiquing the ladies choices of formal wear.

Ok, I don't know where they found this pre-show host, but she really makes me want to vomit.  So, in reading my timeline, apparently it's Jeannie Mai.  Time to hit imdb to see who this chick is.

8:00 - Here we go!

8:01 - Nervous? Hell yes they are.

8:06 - He killed it!  A great start.\

8:07 - Johnny Depp showing he's a good sport.  Introduces the first movie that I haven't watched yet.  That'll be a common theme this evening.  I think I've watch two of the 10-12 nominated films.

8:09 - Mila Kunas and that guy that was in 300 and hasn't done anything as cool since.  Christopher Plummer gets the first award of the evening.  Supoort Actor Motion Picture.

8:13 - Good lord, Elle doesn't look like she's aged in like 20 years.  Actress in a TV Series Comedy is up next.  Laura Dern in my mind gets the surprising win. Wow, I'm stunned actually.

8:18 - We're on a commercial break and I can't help but think we really need some more Ricky now please.

8:19 - And we're back.  Speaking of people that really don't age. Rob Lowe and shit just got real.

8:20 - Best Mini-Series or TV Movie. Oh, so that's where James Gandolfinni went.

8:22 - Downton Abbey wins! and Mrs. Media Room is super happy. She can't say enough good things about this series. 

8:23 - Actress in a mini-series or movie is up, these awards always kill the pace of these shows,  since I never watch any of these movies.  Shocker.  Kate Winslet, what can't she do?

8:26 - Another film I haven't watch.  Midnight in Paris. I can't believe that Owen Wilson was in that movie? The guy that was in Drillbit Taylor was in THAT movie?

8:32 - A quick explanation of what the Hollywood Foreign Press is and does.  Since most people don't know, they appear to be a group that throws just a great party.

8:37 - TV Series Drama, seems quite early to be giving this one out doesn't it? Homeland takes it. Many have described it as the best new show on television. It just might be.  One of my favorites.

8:44 - Worst song I've heard in a long time.  But I really do love Fallon.

8:46 - Best Original Score - Motion Picture goes to The Artist. I hear that this movie is fantastic.  A black and white, silent film.

Here we go with the third and hopefully final hour of the show.

11:33 - Last award of the night, let's see what they picked as the movie of the year. 

11:35 - While the King's Speech speech was fitting for the montage, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see it win it all.  Kind of took the suspense out of it for me.

9:32 - Bale wins, no surprise there.  Bale's accent blows my mind every time he wins an award.  Nice joke by Bale to the audio clip that released a few year's back where he lost his mind and must have dropped the F-Bomb a few dozen times.  Wow, Batman is tearing up.

9:40 - Another history lesson, thanks Australia.  Thanks George Lucas!  I haven't watch E.T. in years, I really need to sit down and watch it soon.  Thanks Oscars for the reminder.

9:42 - Original Score, fingers crossed for Trent Reznor! YES!!!  How many of us thought all those years ago when listening to the Downward Spiral screaming Fuck You Like an Animal would have thought that guy one day would be an Oscar Winner?

Oscar Live-Blog - First Hour

Here we go, hosted this year by two of Hollywood's youngest and brightest stars in Hathaway and Franco.  I am excited mostly to see what the often wacky Franco brings to the table.  I hope they play up the fact he truly is the hardest working man in Hollywood.  About a month ago in Entertainment Weekly they posted his schedule and it was nuts.  The man lives on like 3 hours sleep a night.

8:30 - Great opening montage, what a great year in film.  Some amazing flicks this year.

8:32 - The Hathaway/Franco trip through the year's best was hilarious.  Hathaway can really pull off the Boston accent quite well.  "Loved You Tron" !!! HAHAHAA How awesome is Baldwin.  You just got Inceptioned!  LOVE IT! 

8:36 - Back to the Future clip!!!  WHAAAAAAAAT!!!  Highlight of the night so far, yes I know it's only six minutes in, but still.

8:39 - Franco looks a wee bit nervous or is it just me? or is he just high?

8:40 - This is dragging out a wee bit, it's starting to get a bit awkward.  Let's start handing out some awards already.

8:41 - Where was the dad in Toy Story?  Thinks that make you go hmmmm.

8:42 - History lessons while we watch the show? Let's not kill the flow of the show.

8:43 - Art Direction is up first, um, don't they normally start with the best supporting actress award?  Alice in Wonderland gets it, doesn't it seem like that movie came out like atleast two years ago?  Mental note, look up and see what Tim Burton is doing.

8:46 - Cinematogrophy, here we go with Inception's first award.  Considering the big show down is between The Social Network and The King's Speech, I made a tonne of picks for Inception.

8:51 - Wow, Kirk Douglas.  Good for him to be out there.

8:53 - Supporting Actress, let's see if all the previous award shows predicted it right.  Holy crap, I totally see Conan O' Brian's sister in The Fighter.  That's hilarious.  Kirk Douglas still has an amazing sense of humor!  Melissa Leo!!  Simply amazing in the role. 

8:59 - It would appear that we aren't on ANY sort of tape delay!  Classic!

9:02 - JT is Banksy, it's so obvious!

9:03 - Rumor has it that Franco has shared his stash with EVERYONE at the Oscars this year.

9:04 - Animated Short is up, The Lost Thing.

9:05 - I've just noticed something, I don't have a drink or any snacks.  That's how exciting this speech is.  Time to fill it up.

9:06 - Ah crap, we're jumping right into another award.  Toy Story 3.  Not really a surprise there.  Ok, let's get a drink and some snacks.  I'll be right back blog.

9:09 - Just in case you were curious, Throwback Pepsi and Smartfood - Salty and Sweet version.  I didn't even know Smartfood was doing a Kettle Corn.  Bless you Smartfood, bless you. 

9:13 - Holy crap, I need to turn down the brightness on my tv.  Damn those suits are BRIGHT!  Screenwriters are up with Adapted:  Yes!  The Social Network!  Great Book.  I really suggest you read it.  Sorkin delivers a great speech! 

9:16 - Original Screenplay, here we go:  The King's Speech!  I'm stunned. Sets the battle up even further between it and Social Network. 

9:23 - And we're back.  This isn't Doogie Howser or Hugh Jackman I'll tell ya.

9:24 - So next year, can we have Alec Baldwin back?

9:25 - It's almost an hour and we finally got a Sheen joke in there.

9:26 - Brand and Mirren, what a couple of presentators.  Brand is much funnier here than he was on SNL a few weeks back.

Screen Actors Guild Awards - Live Blog - Second Hour

8:58 - Ok, so I was wrong. 

8:59 - Portman and Kunis here to preview Black Swan.  If you haven't watched Black Swan, you should.  Great Film.  Holy crap those ladies got back to their seats fast.

9:00 - Tim Conway is still alive?  Looks like he's here to give a lifetime achievement award.  This is quickly becoming a very long and very boring introduction speech.  Has Ernest Borgnine done anything relevant in the last twenty years?  Isn't this lifetime award a wee bit late? 

9:17 - Is anyone else getting tired of seeing these commercials for Sanctum?

9:18 - Whew, back to celebrating the rich and famous.  Male Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries.  Al Pacino for You Don't Know Jack.  I hear that movie is fantastic. 

9:20 - The Social Network boys here to preview The Social Network.  Wow, Spiderman has a serious British Accent.  I thought he was from New York.  Just hearing the score from that movie gives me chills.

9:21 - Rosario Dawson, there is a name you don't hear very often these days.  Outstanding Female Actor TV Movie or Mini-Series.  Clare Danes wins like her fourth award for this role.  It's really starting to bother me that award is even called The Actor.

9:25 - Ok, it's taken about an hour and a half, but I've realized that these awards are brutally boring.  This show is the reason why people hate award shows.  I love these things normally, but I'm getting more alittle annoyed by all this pro pro rah rah actors stuff. 

9:26 - Lets get shocked to see who has died this past year.  A lot of faces I know, didn't know all the names that's for sure.  We lost a lot of great actors this past year.


9:34 - They don't take many breaks, but my god when they do, they're super long.

9:35 - And we're back.  Susan Sarandon is here and she is giving out Oustanding Male Actor in a Supporting Role.  How can Bale not win this?  Oh, Hawkes was damn good in Winter's Bone.  Ah crap, Renner, love Renner.  He was great in The Town.  I wonder if Ruffalo actually thinks he's got a shot at this?  Ah, there it is.  Bale wins as he should.  Have you watched The Fighter?  Bale was certainly the best part.  Just fantastic. 

9:38 - Woah, Batman is Welsh! Wow, that's cool, the guy he played is there.  Plus Superman is now British.  What's going on here?  Bale loves acting?  That audio clip certainly wouldn't make it sound like he loves it and finds it funny.  Have you heard the clip where Bale loses it because a guy walked into the room that he was "acting" in.  Golden.  Youtube, Bale loses it.

9:40 - Wahlberg really doesn't age does he?

9:42 - The Dude!

9:43 - Oustanding Female Actor in a leading Role.  How can't this go to Portman?  And it does indeed go to Natalie Portman.  Aren't the Oscars getting easier and easier to pick this year. 

9:45 - Yeah! Union!  Protecting the actors!

9:46 - Did Portman just say don't be a asshole?

9:47 - I love how the actors union called the best picture, the best ensemble in a motion picture.  Keeping it about them.

9:49 - How cool does the trailer for The Adjustment Bureau look?

9:52 - Kidman here to give out Male Actor in a Leading Role.  Those are some great actors, but it's going to Colin Firth.  The big four actor categories certainly appear locked up for the Oscars next month.  Firth, Bale, Portman and Leo.  Lock it in.

9:56 - Holy beard batman!  What's up with that Sutherland?  The best ensemble for a motion picture goes to The King's Speech!  Another cruel reminder that I need to watch this movie.  Wow, this best movie award Oscar is going to be tight.

Screen Actors Guild Awards - Live Blog - First Hour

I had a kick out of live blogging the Globes a few weeks back, thought I would do it again for the SAG's.


7:58 - I've been kicked out of the Media Room, so I'm up in the bedroom with the fireplace going and watching the show.  Mrs. Media Room decided she wanted to watch a movie instead.

8:01 - They eat at this award show? But do they drink? There was no drink influenced speeches at the Globes and that was disappointing.

8:02 - Oh what the heck, the audio is off and it's driving me nuts after 10 seconds.

8:03 - Wow, these actors are quite nervous.  Ok, is the year of Betty White not over yet?

8:06 - Outstanding Male Actor in a Drama Series is the first award of the night and it goes to: Steve Buscemi.  Wow, the award groups are really loving Boardwalk this year.  That was a crazy tight category, any of those guys could have won that.  What's the deal with Dexter's beard?  Is he trying to add to his serial killer look?

8:09 - A preview of The Kids are All Right, I really don't get the hype behind this movie.  I thought it was just ok, I wasn't totally blown away.

8:12 - Outstanding Female in a Drama Series is up next, that goes to Julianna Margales.  Wow, back to back for the Good Wife.  I hear that show is fantastic, it's one of the few shows on television that I don't actually watch.  I can't watch them all folks ;)

8:15 - The first of what I'm guessing will be many commercials.

8:19 - And we're bag with two beautiful people, Taye Diggs and Sofia Vergara and they're here to present the award to the best Ensemble in a Drama Series.  Wow, Boardwalk Empire wins another award.  They're cleaning up in everything this year.  Good for them.  Took me a while to get into that one, but the second half of that first season was outstanding.  Holy bad spray on tan Batman!

8:24 - The most boring part of the show, the greeting from the assocation's president.  Blah, blah, blah, the actors are great, Hollywood is great.  Got it.  Check.

8:25 - Protect actors?  From what?  I see why this guy is the president.

8:26 - President Palmer!!!

8:27 - We're actually celebrating commercials actors?  Funny, they're showing us famous people that are in commercials. Not the struggling actors that are actually doing commercials.

8:29 - I love that Jason Bateman is back in Hollywood and is acting again.  Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role.  These actors are good, they all know where the camera is when their name gets announced.  Melissa Leo wins again!! 

8:33 - Leo mentions the Union, what's the deal with this?  Their contract must be up soon.

8:37 - mmmm, Blue Freezies, commercials do work.

8:38 - Amy Poehler is here and she's looking fantastic.  Outstanding Male Actor in a Comedy Series.  Alec Baldwin!  He's truly the best part of 30 Rock!  5th consective win for his role on 30 Rock!  Wow.  That's impressive.

8:42 - Mr. Don. Draper, Outstanding Female Actor in a Comedy Series, Tina Fey win perhaps?  Jon Hamm has guested on 30 Rock a few times.  Let's see who gets it.  Wow.  Betty White!  Looks like another year of Betty White.  I love her, but it just seems we're getting a little carried away with all the Betty White love over the last year.  Have you watched the SNL skit with Betty and her appearance on radio talking about her dusty muffin?  You should look it up on youtube, it's hilarious.

8:47 - The King' Speech preview, my god I still need to watch this movie.  I'm so running out of weekends to go watch it.

8:49 - Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series, Modern Family!!!  Glad to see it one over Glee, I like Glee and all.  But great actors they are not.
