Daily News - October 12th 2010

Movie News:

As many of you know, Eric Stoltz was originally cast to play Marty McFly in Back To The Future because Michael J. Fox wasn't available because he was doing Family Ties. Five weeks into filming they changed their minds. The footage was never been released. The big story on twitter today was that video footage of Stoltz has finally been released for our viewing pleasure and to see how different Back To The Future Would have been. Enjoy!

Rhys Ifans has been cast as the villain in the next Spider-Man film, no
one outside of the movie knows which one he'll be playing as of yet.
Rumors are flying around the net that it could be Venom or The Lizard.

Some of the first set pics from the Hangover 2 were released to the Internet today, who else can't way until May 26th 2011??

Continuing on with Bradley Cooper news, there are rumours floating around the net that DC is trying once again to get a Flash movie off the ground. First person they've got lined up to test for the role. Mr. Cooper himself.

Currently being filmed is the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Today we've got some set pictures of Daniel Craig from the set.

Not sure if you've heard this or not, but Bourne 4 isn't going to have Matt Damon in it. Ya, it doesn't make any sense to me either.

Another interesting video hit the net today, that involved Autobot Bumblebee getting into an actual car accident with a police suv while filming. The coolest part of the video is that Prime was actually towing a trailer. I don't recall that happening in either of the earlier Transformers movies.

Tron is coming this Christmas and Daft Punk will be doing the soundtrack and I just like this picture, so enjoy. Daft Punk will actually making an appearance in the film as well.

It what appears to me to be like the 30th Harry Posters to be released, here are the newest posters.

Castle star Nathan Fillion has taken to twitter to try and land the role of Nate Drake in the upcoming film that is based on the video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Tv News:

Did you know that Lady Gaga was on the Sopranos? Most people wouldn't
have because back then she was just a teenager in the background in a 20
second clip. Here's the picture from here scene.

It would appear that the producers of Boardwalk Empire are finding out just how big of a juggernaut Mr. Dexter Morgan is. Ratings for Boardwalk Empire dropped 25 percent on Sunday night. I'm sure once they figure out the DVR ratings the drop won't be as extreme.

There is no Vampire Diaries this week so the good folks at the CW have given lengthy descriptions of the next two episodes.

2.06 – Plan B – KATHERINE CHOOSES A NEW VICTIM

Despite Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) efforts to keep Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) safe, he offers to help Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) deal with Katherine (Nina Dobrev). Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) and Caroline (Candice Accola) share a few rare moments of quality mother/daughter time. Bonnie (Katerina Graham) accidentally discovers new information about Mason (guest star Taylor Kinney) and shares it with Stefan (Paul Wesley), leading Damon to take matters into his own hands

2.07 – Masquerade - DEATH AT THE MASQUERADE BALL

Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) decide on a new plan to deal with Katherine (Nina Dobrev) at the Lockwood’s masquerade ball. Katherine calls on an old friend, Lucy (guest star Natashia Williams), to attend the ball with her. Bonnie (Katerina Graham), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Alaric (Matt Davis) all do what they can to help Stefan and Damon, but Katherine has a surprise planned that none of them could foresee. Things take an ugly turn when Matt (Zach Roerig) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) start doing shots with their friends.

It was announced today that Andy Richter will be back on the new Conan show, it was announced last week that band leader Max Weinberg is not going to be following Conan to TBS.

The coolest news of the day to me was that AMC released a couple of video's totalling almost 18 minutes in which they doucment the making of The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead starts halloween on AMC.

Part One:

Part Two:

Fans of How I Met Your Mother, you all know Robin Sparkles and you love her. Get ready for another 80's pop star on the show. Jessica Glitter, Glitter will be played by Pussycat Dolls front-woman Nichole Scherzinger. And a reminder of how great Robin Sparkles is, check this video "let's go to the mall"

In the give up; your 15 minutes are over. It is rumoured that Carrie Prejean Miss USA contestant, will be a contestant on the next season of Survivor .

Glee producers have released the first image from the upcoming Rocky Horror theme episode. Enjoy!

It would appear that the brutal ratings have made NBC change their mind about Apprentice. This year for the first time in a few year, they've gone back to normal people and people just aren't watching. It would appear that people want B and C level celebrities to watch, *cough* dancing with the stars. So they've decided they're going back to celebs, Latoya Jackson, Mark McGrath and Star Jones have been cast. - EW

Jon Heder's 2004 breakout movie Napolean Dynamite is getting the cartoon treatment. The Original cast is getting back together to voice the show. Fox will be airing the show at somepoint next season or possibly as a Winter Season replacement depending on how things go with their current shows.

The Ausiello files is reporting that someone from Saul's past will be joining Brothers and Sisters for a few episodes. That will none other that Richard Chamberlain.

Another Ausiello file reports that, Nikita is getting some much needed tweaking after just airing five episodes. Ratings have been fairly low for the series considering it follow The CW megahit The Vampire Diaries and they're looking to fix that. They'll be bringing in some new characters and a potential love interest for Nikita to lighten the show up a bit. Personally I'm hoping one of those characters is an acting coach for a few of the current actors.

It's also being reported that Project Runway Contestant Chris March will be getting his own reality series.

In the most brutal, cash grab news of the day. Warner Brothers announced at New York Comic Con this weekend that they'll be releasing the very infamous Looney Toons Racist cartoons that got pulled off the air in 1968. The DVD release is due in 2011.  Sick.

Sadly in the last few days there have been a few celebrity divorces to announce.

Laura Dern and Ben Harper
David Arquette and Courtney Cox
Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordon Bratman.

To lighten the mood after that bit of sad news, let's post a couple pictures of Zach Galifinakis and his swimsuit calendar from Vanity Fair's website.
