A look at the week ahead - Tv Edition

It's Sunday afternoon, I've been clearing the pvr for almost four hours and I'm exhausted. Had to take a break. What a very un-even week of television. Monday's Castle was such a tease, ever so slowly we inch to the two of them finally admitting there are some feelings there. Looks like next week we take a serious step backwards. Some people loved the episode of How I Met Your Mother, I thought if you took out Katy Perry, it would have been a much better episode. It was great how her character brought us up to speed with Barney, but my god she was awful. My last thought from Monday, how fantastic was The Chicago Code? Loved it from the opening minute. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode. Tuesday: Well, I'm officially off No Ordinary Family, I've talked a lot about this one and I'm done. This past week's episode was so awful, it wasn't funny in a cheesy kind of way. It was just bad. It's taken them 14 weeks to get to the storyline they should have been on from the beginning. Sad. Glee, while is was nice that we actually got some plot movement, I found the episode incredibly boring. So happy to watch a new episode of Raising Hope on Tuesday, but what a strange episode. I hope this weeks is better, we'll be looking at that soon enough. Traffic Light, 9:30 on Fox, LOVED IT! Laughed a lot during that first episode. Can't wait for more. Wednesday: Idol finished the Auditions, seems like they've taken a lot to Hollywood this year. Some really, really talented kids this year. Bixby was back on Modern Family, I just didn't see enough of him. Another comedy started this week, Mr. Sunshine. What did people think of it? Personally, I hated it. I
only laughed when Allison Janney was on the screen. Blue Bloods played it's last Wednesday night episode and it was a pretty good one. We had it figured out pretty quickly, actually, Mrs. Media Room had the reason she did it figured out
VERY quickly. Thursday: Big Bang, I wasn't blown away with you this past week, sure, you had some funny moments, but I didn't think it was a great episode and it really didn't fit in with the timeline you've built up. No story-lines really continued there. Community, speaking of not continuing storylines, didn't enjoy you that much this week either. Is anyone actually still watching Perfect Couples? Well, you don't promise Grissom on CSI and I don't watch, it's that simple. That show is going down hill fast. What a trippy episode of Parks this week. 30 Rock, what's wrong with being Canadian I ask you! Looks like I'm six episode of Vampire Diaries behind and five behind on Hellcats, yikes. Plus I'm a whole season behind on Men of a Certain Age. There really isn't enough time in a day to keep up with all this stuff. Plus this week coming is about to get a whole lot more full. That's why I'm here, to look at next week and what we can look forward to.

Monday:
Looks like a very full schedule Monday night, every channel, every time slot.
How I Met Your Mother kicks off another new relationship for Ted, this time with Zoey. Is she the mother, god I hope so. Lennon Parham from Accidentally on Purpose guest stars as well. Starting Monday as well is, Mad Love with Sarah Chalke and Jason Biggs. I'm not sold on this yet. I'm not sure if the chemistry between the mains is going to work. I do like how they didn't name the first episode of the series "Pilot" but in fact actually took the time to come up with a name. Fireworks is the first episodes title. Drives me nuts when they just call a first episode Pilot. You couldn't think of anything better than pilot? Really? How f'in lazy are you. It also does star the fantastic Judy Greer, the best friend to many a leading ladies over the years. Check out the preview.

Hawaii Five-0 is here with another new one, including guest stars: Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo. Wouldn't be a Monday for some without the Bachelor. Heading to Anguilla and a steamy photo shoot. Right, I see why Monday's wouldn't be the same without stuff like this. A new Castle this week and Castle looks to be getting into some trouble with Beckett.

Regular lineup for NBC on Monday, Chuck, The Awful Cape and Harry's Law.
Other "interesting" things you might not want to miss: The Unpoppables, Cakeboss, Heavy, Pretty Little Liars and Gossip
Girl.

Tuesday:
Another full night on Tuesday.

CBS brings it A Game on Tuesdays, NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles rounded out with The Good Wife. The Always Great F. Murray Abraham guest stars on The Good Wife this week as well. Nice. Rick Mercer is heading to Yellowknife this week, can't wait to see the comedy relief he gives in those temperatures No Ordinary Family is in all sorts of trouble after finally starting to piece together the main plot of this show. Rebecca Mader from Lost is back, last we saw of her, she got away after nearly being killed. V is one of the two shows I haven't got caught up on this week. But the description for this weeks episode looks really good, this show is finally bringing the action. Then there is Detroit 1-8-7, a show EVERyONE should be watching. It's too good of a show not to get a second season. NBC is up with yet another episode of Biggest Loser, when isn't this show on the air? Seriously. Then Parenthood. Is The Good Wife so good that it might take out both it's 10:00 competitors? Sadly, I think it will. The numbers for Hood and 187 are pretty awful. Hood "might" make it, but it's a toss-up at this point.

FOX is bring it's hit Glee back into it's regular spot again this week. I'm getting SO bored with this show. Raising Hope looks like it'll be a good one, the family looks back at old family films. Traffic Light, sadly, doesn't sound that great from the description. But I'll still keep watching, the cast works really well together. I hope the cop from the first episode keeps making appearances. Predictable there, but still funny.

Wednesday:
OH BABY!

I think this would be the day of the week that most of us are looking for the most. Survivor is back! and back with a few great twists. Boston Rob and Evil Russell are back. Then there is the whole redemption island to look into. Here Jeff gives a rundown of the entire cast, people that play Survivor pools might find this video very very helpful if you haven't given your picks in yet.

Another reason to look forward to Wednesday is the first episode of the Criminal Minds Spin-Off.

ABC has it's regular Comedy Line-up of The Middle, Better With You, Modern Family and now Mr. Sunshine. After just one week, I already miss Cougar Town. I caught Mr. Sunshine last week and I wasn't impressed as you've already read. Equally unimpressive wraps this up with Off The Map. NBC is going at Wednesday's with back to back Minute to Win It's and Law and Order:SVU. The only interesting thing here is that Will and Grace's Debra Messing is the guest star of the week on SVU. Fox is continuing Hollywood Week with a two hour episode. Yes! You really see the people crack under the pressure and get into fights in these coming episodes. The one hour episode last week didn't really do it justice.

Thursday:

Truly my favorite night of the week...so much to watch, so little time here. Big Bang brings us the return of Raj's sister. I'm guessing we'll be seeing some Jealousy from dear Penny and we're back on board to the main storyline. Season finale of Bleep My Dad Says!! Bieber's back on CSI this week, errr, yes? Sorry folks. Can anyone over the age of 16 stand this kid? ABC bring the usual Thursday night lineup, nothing really exciting here. Wipeout, Grey's and Private Practice. Grant
Show and Stephen Collins guest star on Practice this week. How much are you loving NBC's three hour Comedy Block on Thursdays? Me? I'm loving 4/6th's of it. Not a fan of Perfect Couples, doesn't seem like many are. Plus I don't like Outsourced either. But the rest, I'm loving it! Community seems like it'll be a dark one especially the way we left Pierce last week. Here's hoping this week's Office is good, sounds good, Michael debuts his action movie. If he's leaving soon, they should really start writing him stuff less and less. Former members of the show will also be appearing this week. Make the shock not seem as harsh. Plus we really need to give the other characters on the show something to do. How awesome has Parks and Rec been this season? Thiiiiiiis awesome I tell ya, it's amazing how garbage this show was in it's first season and how good it is now. Finally we'll be getting some Frank action on 30 Rock this week. You have been so missed!!
Looks like Hollywood Week is actually two weeks this year! Even better!

Friday:

The Defenders is up on Friday for CBS, not sure for how long. But, Dan Aykroyd stops by to see how the boys are doing. Blue Bloods returns to it's Friday night at 10:00 time-slot after several weeks over at Wednesday. Rosie O'Donnell pops in to check out her family history on Who Do You Think You Are? Nothing else really exciting happening on Friday.

That's your week of television, going to be a great week. Can't for tonight for it all to start.

What will you be watching?
