But out of this list for sure I'll be watching: Castle, Body of Proof, Happy Endings, Modern Family and that's it.

Time to go watch some True Blood!

A quick look at some of Fall 2011's new shows...

It's a quiet night on the tube tonight and my yard work has been finished. Let's take a look at some upcoming fall shows.

Man Up (ABC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: I laughed a few times out loud actually and I'll more than likely watch this, but I don't hold out hope that this will last long. Sadly.

Prime Suspect (NBC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Wow. Sign me up for some more please. This looks promising and can't wait for the fall to catch this one.

The Playboy Club (NBC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: A few years too late to be cashing into the Mad Men era of show. But this really doesn't interest me as I really don't see where the show can go from the initial murder. Going to pass on this one I think.

Up All Night (NBC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: This looks pretty damn funny, the cast looks excellent and doesn't pull any punches when it comes to life with a new-born. Or so I've heard from friends. I'll be watching this one.

Ringer (CW)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Nothing about this interests me at all. That's a pass for me. I couldn't even finish the promo.

Hart of Dixie (CW)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Typical CW fare here and it's not for me.

Revenge (ABC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Looks interesting enough, but what happens when she gets revenge against Madeline Stowe? Then what?

2 Broke Girls (CBS)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Funnier than I expected and this should replace my Mad Love for the silly factor.

Grimm (NBC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: The cast looks pretty damn good, but I don't see NBC giving this one a chance.

A Gifted Man (CBS)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Looks pretty interesting, the cast looks great. I just hope it doesn't go lovey dovey on me. I'll check out the pilot.

Last Man Standing (ABC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: There is a reason that Tim Allen hasn't been on tv since Home Improvement ended.

Unforgettable (CBS)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Nothing about this interests me at all. Just like the title suggests, Unforgettable.

How To Be A Gentleman (CBS)

Thoughts from the Media Room: The cast looks fantastic, Drama from Entourage, Clohe from 24, Murrary from Flight of the Conchords. I'll be checking this one out.

Once Upon A Time (ABC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: I saw from the writers of Lost and I got excited, than I watched the rest of the trailer, wow this looks AWFUL.

Terra Nova (Fox)

Thoughts from the Media Room: They just had to get the bad General from Avator for this didn't they. I don't care that this came from Spielberg, I can't say this excites me all that much.

Free Agents (NBC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Going to pass on this one.

Secret Circle (CW)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Wow, this show is totally a show from the CW. I bit of everything from their other shows. Going to pass on this one.

I Hate My Teenage Daughter (Fox)

Thoughts from the Media Room:This looks pretty damned funny.

Pan Am (ABC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Pass. What's the deal with these older setting shows? I couldn't even finish the promo.

Person Of Interest (CBS)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Ben's voice 8 seconds into the trailer. I'm so there! JJ can't put together two bad shows in a row can he?

Allen Gregory (Fox)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Wow. Just wow.

New Girl (Fox)

Thoughts from the Media Room: How can this happen if Wayans will be back for Happy Endings? It still looks pretty funny.

Suburgatory (ABC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Lloyd from Entourage can save this one.

The X Factor (Fox)

Thoughts from the Media Room: I'll check this out to see if the hype is worth it.

Whitney (NBC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: OMG! This looks hilarious!

H8R (CW)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Wow, awful!

Charlie's Angels (ABC)

Thoughts from the Media Room: Going to pass one this one.

Television Critics Awards

Earlier today the nominees were announced for the Television Critics Awards and it's a damn good list. I've gone ahead and made my picks along the way.

Best Drama Series
BOARDWALK EMPIRE
DEXTER
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
FRINGE
GAME OF THRONES
THE GOOD WIFE
JUSTIFIED
THE KILLING
MAD MEN
THE WALKING DEAD

Thoughts from the Media Room: Wow, now this is a category. Only two network television shows made the cut. I love to see that, clean up your act Network TV. Very hard to make the pick, but I've got to go with The Killing.

Best Actor in a Drama Series
Steve Buscemi, BOARDWALK EMPIRE
Kyle Chandler, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Michael C. Hall, DEXTER
Jon Hamm, MAD MEN
William H. Macy, SHAMELESS
Timothy Olyphant, JUSTIFIED

Thoughts from the Media Room: Another toughy, but Macy was brilliant as the drunk father "leading" his family. What a finale. What a series. When this comes out on DVD, buy it and watch it. FANTASTIC.

Best Actress in a Drama Series
Connie Britton, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Mireille Enos, THE KILLING
Julianna Margulies, THE GOOD WIFE
Elisabeth Moss, MAD MEN
Katey Sagal, SONS OF ANARCHY
Anna Torv, FRINGE

Thoughts from the Media Room: Tough one for me, but I gotta give Sons love. In the end I think it'll go to Moss, I don't watch Mad Men, but I've read she had a great year on the series.

Best Supporting Actor in a Drama
Alan Cumming, THE GOOD WIFE
Walton Goggins, JUSTIFIED
Shawn Hatosy, SOUTHLAND
John Noble, FRINGE
Michael Pitt, BOARDWALK EMPIRE
John Slattery, MAD MEN

Thoughts from the Media Room: The only one I watch here is Boardwalk Empire and I wasn't about to pick Pitt. Sorry, I don't think he's that great in it.

Best Supporting Actress in a Drama
Michelle Forbes, THE KILLING
Christina Hendricks, MAD MEN
Margo Martindale, JUSTIFIED
Kelly Macdonald, BOARDWALK EMPIRE
Archie Penjabi, THE GOOD WIFE
Chloe Sevigny, BIG LOVE

Thoughts from the Media Room: I find Forbes performance on The Killing so haunting and she's barely hanging on to reality. She's really makes you feel like her world is coming to an end and just how something like this tragedy would truly rip apart a family.

Best Comedy Series
ARCHER
THE BIG BANG THEORY
COMMUNITY
GLEE
LOUIE
THE MIDDLE
MODERN FAMILY
THE OFFICE
PARKS AND RECREATION
30 ROCK

Thoughts from the Media Room: Like, Duh.

Best Actor in a Comedy Series
Alec Baldwin, 30 ROCK
Steve Carell, THE OFFICE
Louis C.K., LOUIE
Charlie Day, IT’S ALWAY SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA
Joel McHale, COMMUNITY

Best Actress in a Comedy Series
Courteney Cox, COUGAR TOWN
Edie Falco, NURSE JACKIE
Tina Fey, 30 ROCK
Patricia Heaton, THE MIDDLE
Martha Plimpton, RAISING HOPE
Amy Poehler, PARKS AND RECREATION

Thoughts from the Media Room: Love Martha.

Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Ty Burrell, MODERN FAMILY
Neil Patrick Harris, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
Nick Offerman, PARKS AND RECREATION
Ed O’Neill, MODERN FAMILY
Danny Pudi, COMMUNITY
Eric Stonestreet, MODERN FAMILY

Thoughts from the Media Room: Tough one between Offerman and Pudi. I haven't been a huge fan of Modern Family this season, I've found it terribly un-even.

Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
Julie Bowen, MODERN FAMILY
Jane Krakowski, 30 ROCK
Jane Lynch, GLEE
Busy Philipps, COUGAR TOWN
Eden Sher, THE MIDDLE
Sofia Vergara, MODERN FAMILY

Thoughts from the Media Room: Phillips is fantastic in Cougar Town, she's part bad-ass and part sweetie. She handles it all very well.

Best Talk Show
CHELSEA LATELY
THE DAILY SHOW
THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW
JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!
THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW

Thoughts from the Media Room: How can't she win this award in her final season?

HOARDERS
THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS
SISTER WIVES
UNDERCOVER BOSS

Thoughts from the Media Room: Would the family go up to accept the award?

Best Reality Series — Competition
THE AMAZING RACE
AMERICAN IDOL
DANCING WITH THE STARS
PROJECT RUNWAY
RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE
TOP CHEF

Thoughts from the Media Room: Wasn't a fan of Race this year and the talent on Idol this season was incredible.

Best Reality Show Host
Tom Bergeron, DANCING WITH THE STARS
