Earlier today the nominees were announced for the Television Critics Awards and it's a damn good list. I've gone ahead and made my picks along the way.

Thoughts from the Media Room: Wow, now this is a category. Only two network television shows made the cut. I love to see that, clean up your act Network TV. Very hard to make the pick, but I've got to go with The Killing.

Thoughts from the Media Room: Another toughy, but Macy was brilliant as the drunk father "leading" his family. What a finale. What a series. When this comes out on DVD, buy it and watch it. FANTASTIC.

Thoughts from the Media Room: Tough one for me, but I gotta give Sons love. In the end I think it'll go to Moss, I don't watch Mad Men, but I've read she had a great year on the series.

Thoughts from the Media Room: I find Forbes performance on The Killing so haunting and she's barely hanging on to reality. She's really makes you feel like her world is coming to an end and just how something like this tragedy would truly rip apart a family.
