What's Playing in the Media Room - September 20th 2011

Day One of the big week is done and I'm exhausted already. I really should have taken the mornings off this week, Twitter is a buzz and net is exploding with stories about the Fall week. So much to do and watch and so little time to get it all in.

Thankfully I'll be cutting a few shows out for next week.

Dancing With The Stars - 8:00 - ABC/CTV
Episode Title: Meet The Cast
Exciting moments from the contestants' first performances and their weeks of training.

I really don't understand these recap shows from something that happened just last night.


NCIS - 8:00 - CBS - Season 9 Episode 1
Episode Title: Nature of the Beast
Gibbs and the NCIS team have to find answers regarding Tony's months-long assignment when an NCIS agent is found dead.


The Biggest Loser - 8:00 Two Hours - NBC - Season 12 Episode 1
Episode Title: Episode 1201
The contestants are divided into teams and asked to choose one of three trainers: Bob Harper, Anna Kournikova or Dolvett Quince.


Glee - 8:00 - Fox/Global - Season 3 Episode 1
Episode Title: The Purple Piano Project
The third season kicks off with Will assigning the glee clubbers a new project which will help them get back on track after losing at nationals last year. Sue sets off a new project as well: running for office in a congressional campaign with a focus on getting arts out of schools.

Glee has a lot of ground to make up in my mind, I thought last season was very inconsistent and at times downright awful.



90210 - 8:00 - The CW - Season 4 Episode 2
Episode Title: Rush Hour
Naomi rushes a popular sorority in attempt to re-establish her status, where she and Annie participate in a variety of sorority games. Annie discovers out a surprising secret about a new guy named Jeremy that could impact her future. Liam decides that he will keep the bar he bought on a whim and a surprise guest from Alaska comes to town to visit him. Dixon finds an unlikely roommate in a country boy named Austin, which could lead to trouble. Navid and Silver's search for his sister, Leila, forces the pair to enlist the help of Adrianna, which frustrates Silver.

NCIS: Los Angeles - 9:00 - CBS/Global - Season 3 Episode 1
Episode Title: Lange, H.
As the team continues their search for Hetty in Romania, Callen finds answers to the secrets of his past.


New Girl - 9:00 - FOX/CityTV - Season 1 Episode 1
Episode Title: Pilot
After a sudden breakup with her long-term boyfriend, Jess moves in with three single guys; Jess' friends try to help her start dating again.

Watched the Pilot last week and I really enjoyed it, you should check this one out.


Ringer - 9:00 - The CW - Season 1 Episode 2
Episode Title: She's Ruining Everything
Bridget scrambles to find a way to cover up a crime she recently committed, while still leading everyone to believe that she is Siobhan Martin. Bridget's past starts to catch up with her, however, when FBI Agent Machado decides to stay in New York City and investigate Siobhan's life. As Bridget's web of lies becomes more and more tangled, she lets Malcolm in on her her secrets, which puts his safety at risk. Andrew and Olivia, his business partner, throw a party in search of new clients, which throws a wrench into Bridget's plans. The fighting between Gemma and Henry grows more intense as Gemma continues to uncover signs that suggest Henry is having an affair.

I'm curious to see what the ratings are going to be for this one this week. I know a few that watched it and I heard three things. Turned it off at the boat scene, confused and just didn't watch it.


Raising Hope - 9:30 - FOX/Raising Hope - Season 2 Episode 1
Episode Title: Prodigy
While watching an old family video, Jimmy realizes that he had a great music talent until an accident that made him talentless, so he decides to find a way to regain his abilities.

Excited to see where this one goes this season.


Body of Proof - 10:00 - ABC/CityTV - Season 2 Episode 1
Episode Title: Love Thy Neighbor
A middle-aged man is killed after his car goes out of control and over an embankment. Although the neighborhood seems idyllic, Megan finds that things are not as they seem and the list of suspects keeps changing.


Unforgettable - 10:00 - CBS/CTV - Season 1 Episode 1
Episode Title: Pilot
A murder reunites former detective Carrie Wells with her ex-boyfriend and colleague; Carrie must use her rare ability to help solve the case.

Not too excited about this one, but I'll still check out the pilot.


Parenthood - 10:00 - NBC/Global - Season 3 Episode 2
Episode Title: Hey, If you're not using that baby
Adam has some ideas for his future and Kristina is preoccupied with Max attending a mainstream public school while the relationship between Haddie and Alex gets cold. On the other hand, Sarah and Mr. Cyr try to figure out their status together. Julia acts irrationally.


Sons of Anarchy - 10:00 - FX - Season 4 Episode 3
Episode Title:
As Jax and Clay attempt to sell the Mexican cartel deal to the rest of the club the Feds think they may have come up with an idea to take SAMCRO down. Gemma confronts Tara about Maureen's note and Kozik is challenged to a basketball game.

Gemma! Bring on the drama! Canadians have to way one extra day for this one and that just makes me sad.
