What's Playing in the Media Room - October 24th


In putting together tonight's rundown, I was happy to see that CityTV is running a FX Canada Preview night for a few of the shows that will be airing starting next week over on FX Canada. Read the details further below.

Dancing With The Stars - 8:00 Two Hours - ABC/CTV - Season 13 Episode 12
Episode Title: Episode 1306
The celebrity dancers and their pro partners will dance to popular songs from great Broadway musicals. Additionally they will perform a group dance.
Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth performs a medley of "Maybe This Time" from "Cabaret" and "I Could Have Danced All Night" from "My Fair Lady."
Broadway cast of "Sister Act" will be performing a feel-good medley of "Raise Your Voice" and "Sunday Morning Fever."


How I Met Your Mother - 8:00 - CBS - Season 7 Episode 7
Episode Title: Noretta
Everyone realizes their significant other reminds them of a parent, while Barney and Nora have a date go sour.


The Sing-Off - 8:00 Two Hours - NBC - Season 3 Episode 6
Episode Title: Top 8 Groups: Hip Hop Hits
The eight remaining groups compete for the ultimate prize by performing hip-hop hits. The bottom two groups battle it out in a sing-off to determine who goes home. The group that remains standing at the end of the season receives the prize of $200,000 cash and a Sony Music recording contract. Nick Lachey hosts and Sara Bareilles, Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman serve as judges.


Gossip Girl - 8:00 - The CW/Much Music - Season 5 Episode 5
Episode Title: The Fasting and The Furious
In the celebration of Yom Kippur with family and friends, Blair and Louis have a power struggle with Louis family. Serena's boss asks her to choose between her new job and Dan. Diana prepares to debut the New York Spectator, but a surprise delays the launch and Diana expects Nate to help her.

Start your night off with the Pilot episode of American Horror Story.
A family recovering from a mother's miscarriage, and a father's infidelities make the decision to move to move into a creepy home with a complicated history. The family is introduced to a handful of eccentric characters including a psychopathic teen patient of the father, a mysterious housekeeper who isn't what she seems, a former resident of the home who murdered his family, and a southern actress with a disturbed daughter.

Then up is Wilfred and it's pilot episode:
Tired of his life, former lawyer Ryan tries to attempt suicide but fails. The next morning, his life changes for the better when his attractive neighbor Jenna asks him to watch her dog Wilfred. Wilfred looks like an ordinary dog, but appears to be a man in a dog suit to Ryan.

Then you end the night off with the League, what's weird here is that they're starting off with the third season premiere.
The gang decides to punish Andre by shooting a porno in his house. Meanwhile, they try to cover a lie about Ruxin's draft pick.
