What's Playing in the Media Room - October 7th

Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and some have already had some turkey, so I don't know how long they'll last on the couch tonight. But thankfully we've got a full lineup of some great television.

CBS has unvieled it's "new" Sunday night lineup pushing everything back half an hour. That really doesn't work for me, thankfully here we've got other options.


Once Upon A Time - 8:00/7:00 - ABC/CTV - Season 2 Episode 2
Episode Title: We Are Both
Regina is determined to get her powers back; David keeps looking for Mary Margaret and Emma; and the seven dwarfs learn why it's unwise to leave town. Meanwhile, in the fairy-tale world, bride-to-be Regina meets a man who promises her magic and freedom.


The Simpsons - 8:00 - FOX/Global - Season 24 Episode 2
Episode Title: Treehouse of Horror XXIII
In "Treehouse of Horror XXIII," Marge and Homer go back to ancient Mayan times and learn that the world will come to an end in 2012; and a glitch in the Springfield Subatomic Supercollider wreaks havoc on the city; Marge as a youngster has a devil of a time after entering into a satanic pact; and Bart travels back to 1974 for a chance to buy a comic book at its cover price, and inadvertently puts a hitch in Homer's courtship of Marge.

Emily tries to intersect her life with the Graysons' lives once again, while still maintaining a link to Amanda and her unborn baby.

The Griffins are selected to have their television-viewing habits monitored, but Peter gets carried away when he tries to take over the airwaves.


Boardwalk Empire - 9:00 - HBO - Season 3 Episode 4

With Johnny Torrio out of town, Al Capone takes matters into his own hands in the escalating feud with rival Chicago mobster Dean O'Banion. Meanwhile, in Atlantic City, Nucky and Owen find themselves in an unexpected holding pattern in a makeshift warehouse for illegal booze, but Eli doesn't trust Mickey's judgment on a liquor delivery for Arnold Rothstein in the boss' absence; and in New York, a nervous Luciano is called to a meeting with Joe Masseria.

Miami Metro reopens a 15-year-old case based on new evidence provided by a local convict; and Debra works to cure Dexter of his homicidal urges. Meanwhile, the Mike Anderson case appears to have ties to Ukrainian mobsters.

Antoine hits the road with a new band for some gigs in Texas, though the idea doesn't thrill Desiree, who begins to investigate some suspicious construction work. Meanwhile, Janette tours a new space with an ambitious restaurateur; Annie moves closer to signing a management deal; Davis turns to Aunt Mimi for financial support; and Toni takes a big risk to find a killer.
