What's playing in the media room - September 20th

Here we go kids!  Tonight's the big night, it's all really starting now.

By my count we've got 12 premieres tonight.  How are the pvr's going to handle it?  I know mines very nervous.  Enough chatter, let's take a look and see what we've got.

Dancing With the Stars - 8:00 PM - ABC - Season 11 Episode 1

The twelve celebrity stars of season 11 are showcased. In the two hour premiere the celebrity stars and their pro dancer partners will perform either the Viennese waltz or the Cha Cha.


How I Met Your Mother - 8:00 PM - CBS - Season 6 Episode 1

Episode Title: Big Days

Ted runs into Cindy, the girl he dated who rooms with his future wife. Meanwhile, Robin is still crushed over Don's decision to take a job in Chicago, and Marshall can't stop talking about wanting to have a baby.

I'm pumped about this one, the producers have said that they know they made some mistakes last year.  They promise to return Mother to their glory.

Chuck - 8:00 PM - NBC - Season 4 Episode 1

Episode Title:  Chuck Versus The Anniversary

Chuck and Morgan try to find Chuck's mother, while Sarah and Casey investigate a Russian operative.

Don't watch this, I should, it looks silly and like it could be fun to watch. Sadly my Monday nights are way too full, you'll find that out at the end of the article.  Looks for many guest starts in this season of chuck.  Linda Hamilton and Olivia Munn to name a couple.


House - Fox - 8:00 PM - FOX - Season 7 Episode 1

Episode Title:  Now What?

Now that they're together, House and Cuddy try to establish a normal relationship. Meanwhile, the team comes to the aid of an ailing Prionceton neurosurgeon but discover that they need House's help... and House is nowhere to be found.

Now what indeed, most of the chat this summer in regards to this one was, was it real?  Producers confirmed that, then fans asked, how long will it last.  We'll have to wait and see, the word of the summer certainly has been, Huddy.


90210 - 8:00 PM - The CW - Season 3 Episode 2

Episode Title: Age of Inheritance

Naomi learns that she can access the money in her trust fund, so she decides to throw a huge birthday bash where The Honey Brothers perform a few songs. Dixon, Navid, and Liam take Oscar out for a night on the town, but Dixon finds himself in trouble with Ivy when she sees an online photo of him taking a body shot off a girl. Annie meets a guy named Charie at a coffee shop and feels in instant connection, but she's more interested in exploring her relationship with Liam. Jen is forced to let Ryan back into her life when doctors order her to remain on bed rest until she delivers the baby. Silver confronts Teddy about his drinking problem.

I used to watch this, even this version...but the main girl just bothers me too much that I had to drop it. 


Rules of Engagement - 8:30 PM - CBS - Season 5 - Episode 1

Episode Title: Surro-gate

Pam, Jeff and Audrey's potential surrogate reveals some unsettling information.

All I can say about this one is, Season 5?? Like really??  Who's watching this David Spade wonder.


Two and a Half Men - 9:00 PM - CBS - Season 8 Episode 1

Episode Title:Three Girls and a guy named Bud

Jake moves to Judith and Herb's when he learns that Alan's dating his friend Eldridge's mom. Charlie tries to cut back on the alcohol.

This show needs to find that missing laugh, I used to love this show.  Last season we were down to a few laughs an episode.  It's kind of sad to watch knowing what's happening in Sheen's life and how in the crapper Sheen's character is going on the show.


The Event - 9:00 PM - NBC - Season 1 Episode 1

New Show!

Episode Title:  Pilot

When his girlfriend Leila goes missing during a Caribbean cruise, Sean Walker accidentally uncovers a national conspiracy. Meanwhile, President Elias Martinez decides to release a group of detainees, much to the chagrin of Blake Sterling, the Director of National Intelligence.

Big hype for this one, they just better show us, What is The Event?


Lone Star - 9:00 PM - Fox - Season 1 Episode 1

New Show!

Episode Title: Pilot

Bob, a cunning con-man, leads two very separate lives in Texas. In Houston, he is married to Cat, the daughter of an extremely wealthy Texas-oil tycoon who he constantly tries to impress to secure his position in the company. However, in Midland, he scams local investors out of their hard-earned money, unbeknown to his girlfriend Lindsay. When his father-in-law extends the company to Bob, he must make a decision as to whether he will setting in one life, or continue maintaining both.

Another hyped show, looks it could be interesting, I just hope it's not too soap opera like.  I hope it focuses on the con itself.


Gossip Girl - 9:00 PM - The CW - Season 4 Episode 2

Episode Title: Double Identity

Living her fairytale in Paris, Blair is finds a handsome young man named Louis, who she suspects is part of the Monaco's royal family. Lily asks Serena to help her find Chuck. Meanwhile, Chuck is adjusting to Paris perfectly with his new woman, Eva at his side. Meanwhile, on the Upper East Side, Juliet offers Nate help getting Serena back, suggesting trying to get Dan and Vanessa back together and breaking the Dan-Serena-Nate triangle.


Mike and Molly - 9:30 PM - CBS - Season 1 Episode 1

New Show!

Episode Title:  Pilot

Fourth-grade teacher Molly Flynn meets, and falls for, police officer Mike Biggs at Overeaters Anonymous and asks him to talk to her class.

Personally I think this looks awful, it's in a sweet timeslot on CBS' Comedic Monday nights.  Mixed reviews so far.


Castle - 10:00 PM - ABC - Season 3 Episode 1

Episode Title: A Deadly Affair

Beckett and her team burst into an apartment on a murderer's trail, just to be surprised when they see Castle, who they haven't heard or seen in months, standing over a dead woman's body holding a gun. Beckett, has no other choice but to arrest Castle until he proves his innocence.

Love this show, it's fun and it's entertaining.  That's why I watch the tele, to be entertained! 


Hawaii Five-O - 10:00 PM - CBS - Season 1 Episode 1

New Show!, Well, kinda.

Episode Title: Pilot

Steve McGarrett is summoned home to the island of Honolulu to bury his father after he is murdered by a madman. Governor Jameson wants Steve to head up a new elite police unit and she will give him full authority to get the job done. Initially he turns down the job, but when he meets the man in charge of the unit, he changes his mind.

"Re-invented" with pretty people for the year 2010.  Not sure how I'm feeling about this.  It's got Jin from Lost in it.  Is that enough to go on? I doubt it.


Chase - 10:00 PM - NBC - Season 1 Episode 1

New Show!

Episode Title:  Pilot

Meet Annie Frost a cowboy U.S. Marshall who is on the hunting for a dangerous fugitive, Mason Boyle. She has an elite team who help her track down Boyle's moves. Her team members are Jimmy Godfrey, a true American cowboy, Marco Martinez, an intelligence specialist, Daisy Ogbaa, a weapons specialist and the new member of the squad, Luke Watson.

From everything I've read about this one.  It's not sounding good.

The Botwins' flight continues after a parking violation and Doug gets into a hostage situation.


The Big C - 10:30 PM - Showtime or TMW - Season 1 Episode 5

Episode Title:  Blue Eyed Iris

Cathy meets someone new to feel sexy again. Meanwhile, Cathy's eccentic brother Sean tries to keep his building and Adam is caught while watching pornography.
