Golden Globe Live Blog - First Hour

Tonight is Golden Globe night and here is my live post of the events from my Media Room for the first hour. I was going to just post the winners, but this is way more exciting.

7:46 - Battle with my cat to get my spot on the couch back.

7:48 - I realize that my drink is sitting on the counter and the cat is back and is sitting next to me with eyes for my seat.

7:55 - Bye bye football post-game wrap up, time to get my Golden Globes on.

7:57 - Whew, the cat has gone back to her location on the back of the couch.

8:00 - Here we go, love the fact there is a beer waiting for him on the stage.

8:00:40 - Annnnd there is the first Charlie Sheen joke.

8:01 - LOVING The Tourist jokes.

8:05 - Scarlett comes out for the first award.

8:07 - And the first winner is for Supporting Actor - Motion Picture...Christian Bale for The Fighter.

8:08 - First winner, first winner to go on too long.

8:09 - LL doesn't roll the one leg up on his suit?

8:10 - Best Actress TV Drama, the winner is...Katey Sagel!!! About time, she totally one for last seasons work. Nice shot of Al Bundy there, but I feel it takes away from her performance on Sons.

8:13 - I realize that this Media Room is missing something, SNACKS!

8:16 - Oh, Julianne, what the hell are you wearing?

8:18 - Best mini-series or made for TV Movie goes to...Carlos

8:21 - Yay! Ricky is back. Boo, it's going to be quick, but I love the intro for Bruce Willis...

8:24 - Supporting Actor, Tv Series goes to Chris Colfer from Glee.

8:30 - Michelle Pfeiffer where have you been? I don't think I've seen you in ages, that reminds me, I really need to watch Scarface again. That too has been too long.

8:32 - Hmmm, with that zinger from the head of the Hollywood Press, will Ricky back?

8:33 - Kevin Bacon will be in the next Xmen movie?  As who I wonder? I have to look into this.

8:34 - Best Actor Television Series Drama goes to Steve Buscemi.  On a side note, does Michael C. Hall need the beard for a role?  Need to take a mental note, another cable show wins another category.

8:37 - Best Tv Series Drama, already...seriously? Boardwalk Empire wins.

8:39 - Nice shot of Angelina fixing Brad's tie for him.  They are a normal couple after all.

8:44 - Oh, Spiderman you're so funny and very nervous.

8:46 - Best Original Song - Motion Picture, this is the best award that Alec Baldwin can get?  WTF!?!? The award goes to...Diane Warren.

8:49 - Best Score, come on Trent!

8:50 - YES!!! Trent Reznor wins!!!  CHILLS!  Umm, what happened to Trent Reznor?  Did Hollywood replace the real Trent with a robot? I can't picture that guy screaming I Want To Fuck You Like A Animal! From a stage...

8:52 - Kevin Bacon will be playing Sebastian Shaw leader of the New York Branch of the Hellfire Club in the Xmen movie.  I told you I had to look into it, I couldn't wait.

8:55 - Oh good, it's that Bieber kid.  Why is he there?  Animated Feature is up.  Oh I loved Despicable Me.  The Winner is...Toy Story 3...I think everyone in the room knew that one was coming.  Oh hey look.  Tim Allen, besides Toy Story what is that guy doing, I know I know...I'm on it.

8:59 - Ricky getting casual, introducing a very casual guy...welcome Downey JR!  Can anyone get more Hollywood?

9:00 - Tim Allen update, nope...nothing...maybe he'll do Toy Story 4 or Wild Hogs 2 some day.

9:01 - Downey is totally awesome in this introduction, best ever I'd wager.

9:02 - Best Actress Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical. goes to, Annette Bening.

Time to start the second hour post.  See you soon.
