Back again, with the second hour...you can check out the first hour here.
9:09 - Ricky introducers Sly, who I might add is wearing a great suit.
9:10 - Ohhhh he's introducing The Fighter, I sooooo get it. How clever Hollywood Foreign Press. How clever.
9:11 - Tilda Swinton, ummmm, what are you wearing?
9:12 - Actor Mini-Series or Tv Movie goes to Al Pacino, not really a shock or anything, it's Al f'in Pacino, but seriously, this is one of the fefw times I've gone against him. Ildris Alba in Luther is outstanding. If you haven't watched The Wire, please do.
9:14 - Mrs Media Room asks, Are Mark Wahlberg and Ben Afleck friends, because they really should do a movie together. I wonder why she says that? Must be because they're both great loo errr actors.
9:15 - Actress Mini-Series or Tv Movie goes to Claire Danes. The streak continues, I really need to check this movie out. It's won a boat load of awards.
9:18 - Helen Bonham Carter appears to be wearing an outfit she's stolen from the Harry Potter movies.
9:20 - Pee break, top up drinks and snacks. When I get back to the couch I come to the observation that our couch is far too small. Two Ipads, Laptop, notes, cell phones and remotes, plus drinks and snacks. It's getting a wee bit tight in here.
9:23 - Ahh Zac Efron, aka the President of the I hate Justin Bieber club. Seriously, remember when Efron was the biggest teen heart throb on the planet.
9:25 - Another classic Ricky poking fun at Steve Carrel introduction.
9:26 - Screenwriter Motion Picture award goes to Aaron Sorkin, not my pick but he's a great choice. Mrs. Media Room loves Sorkin and wants him back writing television. Then asks what's he up to right now? On it.
9:29 - Time to get my geek on, It's Thor and Captain America!
9:30 - Supporting Actress Tv goes to /Jane Lynch for Glee. Like I said in my nomination and prediction post, like Dug.
9:33 - The more commercials I see for The Amazing Race, the more I want to see it. Get here already!
9:36 - I love it when Ricky says "Welcome Back" How true Ricky, How true.
9:37 - Best foreign Language Film goes to In a Better World, great speech. I like when they get nervous.
9:39 - Hello Dame Helen Mirren here to introduce The King's Speech, I see what ya did there HFPA.
9:40 - Actress Tv Comedy goes to Laura Linney! Just like we predicted, if you haven't watched The Big C, you really should, it's a heavy show with a very heavy topic I will warn you. But the chemistry between the characters makes you feel like you're along for the ride.
9:45 - Thankful for all the breaks, this is exhausting. Twitter, Facebook, Live blog, twitter, check the pool sheets, surf the net to find something out, twitter, facebook...blog...whew...exhausting but very fun...
9:46 - Wow, Jane Fonda is looking pretty damn good for a 73 year old!
9:48 - Best Actor Tv Series Comedy goes to Jim Parsons!!!! YES SHELDON!!! Where the hell was he sitting? Behind the stage? What's up with that?
9:50 - Jeremy Irons, where the hell have you been?
9:51 - Best Supporting Actress - Drama goes to Melissa Leo! Another one for the pool, crushing it! It really came to me in a vision the other day that she'd win. And wow she looks totally different. Interesting Melissa Leo fact, she's been on Law & Order three different times as three different characters.
9:54 - Thanks to EA for putting a ad for Sports Active when I've been laying on the couch for several hours and we've still got at least another hour to go. bastards.
9:56 - Ok, the singing retirement commercial was cute the first time I saw it, now it's just annoying. Do ya here me Sunlife.
9:58 - Matt Damon comes out and wastes no time telling us why he's here. Didn't know who Robert DeNiro was/is? As if. It's kind of sad that he's now doing Fockers movies. Best Bobby role ever for me, Neil McCauley in Heat. In all the movies they showed, weird that there was no Fockers clips, weird.
