What's Playing in the Media Room - January 10th 2011

A quiet night for me in the Media Room last night, after watching several movies and then the special on Google from CNBC from a few nights before.  That was it for me.  Upstairs to do some reading of 127 Hours: Between a Rock and a Hard Place.  Got a few things to catch up on tonight mind you, a co-worker watched Bob's Burgers and he enjoyed it, so we'll see.  After a tease last week not much on for me tonight, how about you?

The Bachelor - 8:00 Two Hours - ABC - Season 11 Episode 2
Episode Title: Episode #15.2

The 20 remaining bachelorettes move into their luxurious Malibu mansion and the fairy tale begins. Two lucky women will get fabulous one-on-one dates: Brad escorts one bachelorette on a fantasy date which culminates at the Hollywood Bowl, where they will be serenaded by the chartbusting band Train. The other individual date finds Brad and another stunning woman on an incredibly romantic date to a private carnival. The group date will give 15 women a chance show Brad another side of their personality as they shoot public service announcements (PSA) for the American Red Cross, but it turns into a steamy face-off between some of the ladies. However, some of the bachelorettes will not have a date at all before the next rose ceremony, encouraging them to aggressively steal any time they can with Brad.


Lie To Me - 8:00 Two Hours - FOX - Season 3 Episode 9 and 10

Lightman is called to a mental hospital to determine if a patient is being held against his will. Attempting to have the patient released, Lightman finds himself descending down a path that forces him to question his own sanity and brings him face-to-face with his own past.

Episode Title: Rebound

Lightman is hired by a wealthy woman to do a background check on her new boyfriend, so he digs deep into the man's past to find out the truth about this social chameleon.

Thoughts from the Media Room: I really do think they're firing these out fast and that'll be the end of this one. I don't know anyone that actually watches this thing.

Pretty Little Liars - 8:00 - Much Music / ABC Family - Season 1 Episode 13
Episode Title: Salt Meets Wound

Hanna's return home from the hospital should be a joyous event, but being stuck in a wheelchair and feeling haunted by "A" makes her return feel more like a Hitchcock nightmare than a proper homecoming. Even though the girls try to put on their best effort to support Hanna, they all have troubles they have to face as well: Spencer is still reeling from Melissa's surprise, when an unexpected roadblock is thrown up in her relationship with Alex; Emily, on the other hand, is hoping that an introduction to Maya during a tense family meal will smooth all apprehensions her parents may have. Meanwhile, blackmail is in the air when Aria and Fitz suspect a student is on to them.

Wendy does a documentary on why marriages work or fail; Tom tries to fix a leak in the attic.


Intervention - 9:00 - A & E - Season 10 Episode 5
Episode Title: Jimmy

Jimmy was raised by an alcoholic father but is now a heroin addict. At 13, he was in a gang which abused drugs. Jimmy also has a son and has tried getting sober in the past, but the pressure from his family in this instance lead to dependence on methadone.


Cake Boss: Next Great Baker - 9:00 - TLC - Season 1 Episode 6

The contestants are asked to make a wedding cake for a young couple about to marry.

Thoughts from the Media Room: I was so happy to read today that they got a early renewal. Love this show, it's fun, it's fluffy but it's entertaining!


Hoarders - 10:00 - A & E - Season 3 Episode 19
Episode Title: Glen & Lisa

Glen's collection of rats have gotten so out of control that he now lives in a shed. Glen has asked that the rats be removed so he can resume living in his home but insists that the rats are not killed in the process. Lis's hoarding has filled her father's house completely and her father is threatening to evict her unless she cleans the house and removes the large number of cats she has as pets.

Thoughts from the Media Room: Season 3 finale tonight hoarders fans. I can't watch this show, it just freaks me out.


What will I be watching in my Media Room: The McDonalds thing and Castle and that's it. Most likely those will get pvr'd and we'll watch a movie. I've got a few things from last night I still need to catch up on, which I'm going to do right now.
