What's Playing in the Media Room - October 10th

So, it's mid-week and the schedule is really starting to fill up. But thankfully today, the fall season had it's first victim. The first cancelled show of the season is, Made in Jersey. It wasn't the worst show I've watched this fall, but it was near the top of my list of shows to canned and early. The axe is being sharpened for Mob Doctor at this point as its ratings dropped even further Monday night.

Another bit of news. One of the cooler dad's from the 80's passed away earlier today. You'll remember him as Mr. Webster or George Papadapolis. He was 77.

Thoughts from the Media Room: It just makes me cry a little that this will be cancelled before The Neighbors.

The X-Factor - 8:00 Two Hours - FOX/CTV - Season 2 Episode 9
Episode Title: Boot Camp #3; Judge's House #1
The final boot camp in Miami for the contestants, who are judged on their singing, dancing and performance styles. Also, guest mentors Marc Anthony, Justin Bieber, Scooter Braun, Nick Jonas and will.i.am.

Thoughts from the Media Room: I hope to have better PVR luck with this one this week. Both my episodes from last week screwed up on the PVR, maybe it's trying to tell me something.

Episode Title: Pilot
Oliver is rescued and creates the persona of Arrow, an expert archer determined to fight evil in his beloved city in the opener of a series about billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, who becomes a vigilante after being shipwrecked for five years on a remote island.

The Neighbors - 8:30 - ABC - Season 1 Episode 3
Episode Title: Things Just Got Real
Marty and Debbie try to keep Larry and Jackie at a distance so they can spend time with their human friends, but that doesn't stop the Zabvronians from crashing Marty's poker night or Debbie's girls' night out.

Thoughts from the Media Room: Come on people, please stop tuning into this garbage.

Episode Title: Pilot
Rayna's record label asks her to take a backseat role and open for rising star Juliette Barnes in the series premiere of this drama about a country-music legend fighting to stay in the spotlight while a young singer tries to usurp her.

Thoughts from the Media Room: I've only heard great things about this one so far.

CSI - 10:00 - CBS/CTV - Season 13 Episode 2
Episode Title: Code Blue Plate Special
The CSIs investigate eight deaths at their favorite diner.

Thoughts from the Media Room: Ohhhhh, intense.

Matthew Casey and Lt. Kelly Severide point fingers at one another. Casey also deals with personal dramas surrounding his separation from his wife, Hallie.

Thoughts from the Media Room: Third Watch fans might have trouble accepting this one. At least two of them that I've spoken to about it.

The Media Room plays, Hey! Where Have I Watched Them Before!
For those that are still watching The Mob Doctor, you might have remembered the "baby momma." That's Jurnee Smollett, I know I know, you're like Ant, who the heck is that. Well you might remember her from a little show called Full House where she played Denise Frazer. No? Friday Night Lights fans are more likely to remember her as Jess Merriweather in Season 4 of the Series. She was also in last Fall's brief Legal Drama, The Defenders.
